Oh yes - I like this better - the type pops out much more!! I also agree with the change in wording - not only is it more precise regarding what the message sends, but also ties to the picture better. Great job!
Like the use of "fence" over "protect" makes the work more relevant. Looks great, I like the simplicity and use of just red, white, blue and black. I like too how it is very clean and allows for the viewer to look to the corner to read the words, down to the flag and over to the flag post down to the fence its good placement so that your eye is drawn through the whole picture. Nice job
It seems that consensus is that poster "design" is well executed with the revision, and I, too, agree!
Isn't it great when we can all work together, and at the end collaboratively aid in the work it takes place to make the poster better, and I assume more gratifying for you at the end result of your work all the better.
I do have a question, i am confused to why you feel the need to fence our borders? you don't need to reply if you feel uncomfortable. This is just a "personal issues" I don't feel offended by you but if I saw just the poster, and not you my class mate doing a project I would be offended.
What I would extrapolate from the poster "fence our borders" seems imply an anti-Mexican-immigration (presumably illegal) which seems to be at odds with what the american flag once represented, and expressed with the colossus statute welcoming immigrants seeking a better life as inscribed "Give me your tired, your poor/Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"
Does the American Flag, a symbol of our identity changed, or have a different meaning for you?
Do you believe we have a turned from a nation of abundance and a beacon of light of freedom to a nation of scarcity?
again please don't take this as an attack on you personally, but the poster impacts me in this way.
Did you have an alternate perspective? was I incorrect in the message you are alluding to?
If this is in fact your message, while I disagree, I applaud the courage of your conviction. I don't expect others to see the world through my own lens, but can at least respect when some has a genuine yet opposing stance they are passionate about.
So despite my opposing view. I am very pleased with the visual elements, and that you did take the time to consider the advise of your peers: the revised version is an improvement
